Cotton is a natural fibre that is biodegradable. The cotton fibre is robust and has a wear resistance that is only surpassed by certain synthetic fibres. These natural properties provide cotton products with very good durability.
Linen is a natural fibre. The flax plant, from which linen is made, requires minimal water and fertiliser. Flax is a hardy plant that also resists insects, wind, and harsh weather. Polyester is a synthetic fibre with excellent durability. The fibre is often used in a blend with cotton, viscose and wool to extend the durability of the garment. Garments made from polyester have excellent durability, colour retention, quick drying and minimal creasing.
