Linen is a natural fibre. The flax plant, from which linen is made, requires minimal water and fertiliser. Flax is a hardy plant that also resists insects, wind, and harsh weather. Linen is obtained from the stalks of the plant. A durable material, linen is admired for its cleanness, its sheen, and its beautiful texture, which is slightly uneven. Silk is a natural fibre that is biodegradable. Silk is spun from the cocoons of the larvae of the mulberry silkworm. A cocoon consists of 3000–4000 m of thread and approx. 1 kg of cocoons rarely yield more than 200 g of pure silk, making the silk fibre an exclusive material. The natural softness, beautiful fall and high level of comfort of silk makes it one of the best materials to use for clothing.
