TENCEL ™ Lyocell is a naturally degradable quality, which is produced in a closed loop system with minimal environmental impact. When TENCEL ™ Lyocell is produced, it uses 95% less water than a cotton production and 99% of the chemicals are recycled. The quality has good durability and is naturally degradable. The fibre is certified, which means no more wood is felled than the forest can reproduce.
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) guarantees that at least 20% of the material in the product is recycled material. The recycled material is tracked from input to output at each stage of production. In addition, the standard ensures a responsible chemical consumption production of the material.
TThe Responsible Down Standard (RDS) ensures that down and feathers come from ducks that has been treated well, meaning enabling them to live healthy lives without suffering from pain, fear or distress.
Organic cotton yarn is farmed in a specific way. When appropriately farmed, organic cotton yarn is made via methods that are less harmful and have much less impact on the environment than in traditional cotton farming. Organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, leaving the soil, air and water free from contaminates that cause harm. Organic cotton produces around 46% less CO2e compared to conventional cotton. It also uses far less water to grow since organic cotton growers typically utilize rain more than irrigation.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) producer. GOTS is the world-leading processing standard for textiles made from at least 70% of organic fibres. GOTS product has high-level environmental criteria throughout the entire supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
Print and dye-house is Oeko-Tex certified, meaning it is completely free from harmful chemicals. To attain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the fabric has to be tested and certified as free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be harmful to humans.

The EU eco-label is awarded to products that meet a set of standards throughout their life. The standard follows the ’cradle to grave’ or ’cradle to cradle’ principle depending on the product. For textiles, the focus is on the environmental consequences of dyeing, bleaching and printing. In addition, the eco-label also touches upon the company’s social responsibility. EU Flower is one of the two official ecolabels that we have in Denmark.
