Baby alpaca wool is a natural fibre derived from the alpaca. The name baby alpaca does not mean that the wool comes from a lamb, but that the fibre comes from the extra soft places on the alpaca, such as the belly where the wool is finer and the best quality. The fine fibres of baby alpaca wool provide both warmth and increased breathability, making clothing containing baby alpaca incredibly comfortable to wear. Baby alpaca wool is 7x warmer than sheep wool, making it suitable for cold days and a warmer choice.
Merino wool comes from the merino sheep, which produces very soft wool. Merino wool is known for having finer fibres than most wools, which makes it feel less scratchy than other, coarser wools. Merino fibres are highly curled, making it possible to create light, airy, breathable, and durable products that don't shrink. Merino wool is highly absorbent and insulating, making it one of nature's finest fabrics. Its absorbency allows it to absorb up to about 35% of its weight in water without feeling damp. The insulating properties of merino wool make it comfortable and offer natural protection, so it's an excellent choice for clothing year round.
Polyamide, also known as nylon, is a synthetic fiber with a very good durability. In the production of polyamide, far less water is used and no pesticides in contrast for the manufacture of cotton. The quality polyamide has particularly good wear resistance, holds the color excellently, dries quickly and curls minimally.
